Community Guidelines
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
Last Updated: January 1, 2025
Our Commitment to Professional Standards
Texas Constructive Network ("TXN") is built on trust, professionalism, and respect. These Community Guidelines outline the behavior we expect from all members to maintain a productive and respectful environment. By using the Service, you agree to uphold these standards.
1. Professional Conduct
TXN is a professional networking platform. All members are expected to:
- Treat all members with courtesy, respect, and professionalism
- Communicate clearly and honestly in all interactions
- Resolve disputes privately and professionally
- Represent yourself and your business accurately
- Honor commitments and follow through on agreements
This is not a social media platform. Keep conversations focused on business, opportunities, and professional relationships.
2. Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
Harassment and Discrimination
No harassment, bullying, threats, or discriminatory behavior based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
Fraud and Misrepresentation
Do not lie about your credentials, experience, licenses, or qualifications. Do not impersonate other individuals or businesses. All information in your profile must be accurate and truthful.
Spam and Solicitation
No unsolicited advertising, mass messaging, or promotional spam. Do not use the platform to sell products or services unrelated to construction or real estate. Respect members' inboxes and avoid excessive messaging.
Scraping and Data Harvesting
Do not scrape, copy, or collect member data for use outside the platform. Do not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to extract information. Member information is private and may not be sold, shared, or used for purposes other than direct professional engagement within TXN.
Illegal Activity
Do not use the platform to promote or engage in illegal activity, including unlicensed contracting, tax evasion, labor law violations, or any other unlawful conduct.
Inappropriate Content
Do not post explicit, offensive, or inappropriate content. Keep all posts, photos, and messages professional and work-appropriate.
3. Authentic Work and Portfolio Standards
Your portfolio represents your credibility. Only upload photos and examples of work that you or your company actually completed.
- No stock photos or downloaded images
- No work completed by others unless explicitly credited
- Photos must accurately represent the quality and scope of your work
Misrepresenting your work may result in immediate account termination.
4. Private Communication and Pricing
All pricing discussions and negotiations must occur privately through direct messaging. Do not post prices or rates publicly in your profile, posts, or comments.
This policy protects your business and prevents a race-to-the-bottom pricing environment.
5. One Profile Per Business
Each business or individual is allowed only one profile. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate visibility, spam members, or circumvent restrictions is prohibited and will result in removal from the platform.
6. Reporting Issues
If you encounter spam, harassment, fake profiles, or other violations of these guidelines, please report them immediately. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
To report a concern, contact us at [support@texasconstructivenetwork.com] with details about the issue.
7. Consequences for Violations
Violations of these Community Guidelines may result in:
- Warning: First-time minor violations typically result in a warning
- Suspension: Repeated violations or moderate infractions may result in temporary account suspension
- Termination: Serious violations (harassment, fraud, scraping, illegal activity) will result in immediate and permanent removal from the platform without refund
All enforcement decisions are made at TXN's sole discretion.
8. Appeals
If your account is suspended or terminated, you may appeal the decision by contacting support within 14 days. Appeals are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Decisions are final.
Why These Guidelines Matter
TXN is not another Facebook group or LinkedIn clone. This platform exists to help construction professionals find reliable partners, build trust, and do great work together.
Quality matters more than quantity. These guidelines help us maintain a network where real professionals can actually find each other and build meaningful, profitable relationships.
Thank you for being part of this community.
